STATION Berlin
The Berlin-based German Insurance Association (GDV) is the federation of private insurers in Germany. We represent the interests of an exciting, efficient and diverse industry vis-à-vis parliament, government and the public - both nationally and at the European level. This is demonstrated on the one hand by our approximately 470 members, which include internationally active players as well as locally rooted companies, full-service insurers as well as specialist providers, hundreds of years old traditional companies as well as young insurtechs.
Natural hazards and extreme weather events are increasing dramatically as a result of climate change. Germany must also prepare for increasingly intense droughts, heatwaves, storms, hail, heavy rain and flooding and develop strategies to combat them. Climate protection, climate impact adaptation and insurance are essential in order to protect people, property and infrastructure in the long term. With this in mind, we want to discuss the implementation of climate impact adaptation with our distinguished guest in our panel discussion: Climate impact adaptation - are we running out of time?
We would like to invite you to stop by and find out more about our German initiative #LebenslangGutLeben, which aims to raise young people's awareness of the need for additional pension plans. Our answer to this year's theme „Who Cares?“ is: „We care – lifelong!“ Because it is important to lay the foundation for a good long life early on.
