Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises

The Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises creates the right framework conditions for Berlin companies to grow in global competition. The tasks of the state initiative Projekt Zukunft (Project Future) focus on promoting companies in the digital, media and creative industries in Berlin and creating suitable growth conditions for start-ups and companies. The aim is sustainable digitalisation, analogue and digital networking and the transformation of the industries.

Every year, the Projekt Zukunft team promotes over 150 events and formats, supports trend topics with analyses, works with stakeholders to further develop funding programmes or set up industry-specific programmes, and recognises best practices and innovative business models in competitions and awards.

In order to promote cross-sector innovation and exchange with and among companies, as well as to initiate new networks, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises/Projekt Zukunft presents ten selected organisations from Berlin's social economy at re:publica.
