Arzu Geybulla

Arzu Geybulla is, Azerbaijani columnist and writer, with a special focus on digital authoritarianism and its implications on human rights and press freedom. Arzu's work has featured on various international platforms, including Al Jazeera, Foreign Policy Democracy Lab, CODA, Open Democracy, and Radio Free Europe, with a byline on CNN International.  In 2019, Arzu launched Azerbaijan Internet Watch, a platform that documents, and monitors digital information controls and its impact on civil society in Azerbaijan. She continues her collaboration and affiliation with various international organizations, media, and initiatives focusing on Azerbaijan and beyond, on issues such as transnational digital repression, safety of women journalists online, and platform accountability, to name a few.
