Beyond the Rubble: Earthquake Affected Heritage in Turkey

This project aims to create a comprehensive archive capturing the far-reaching impacts of the 2023 Hatay earthquake, using cutting-edge AI and VR technologies. By transforming Hatay's cultural landmarks into striking 3D visuals with before-and-after comparisons, and incorporating insights from interviews with local artisans, the project offers a unique, multidisciplinary exploration of the region's vulnerabilities and heritage. Participants will have the opportunity to navigate and gain information about the city's post-earthquake state through a VR tour. Additionally, they will watch and learn about the stories of local artisans in the city.
