With a background in business and engineering, Kaj studied Audio Communication and
Technology at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2019 he received a scholarship at
RMIT University Melbourne and participated in a Design Thinking Training at HPI D-School.
The focus of his creative work lies in designing sound for spaces and creating sonic
interaction, while he has also researched in music psychology and worked on projects in
acoustics. Kaj has been leading digital projects for several years and was instrumental in
the development of the NOUS Sonic interactive audio system.
In his current position as project lead at the Interactive Media Foundation, he combines
technical and creative learning with a humanity-centered approach. He is currently
focusing on cross-media work on digital citizenship and climate justice.
