Andy Sanchez, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral researcher working at the intersection of ethics, policy, and human-centric digitalisation. Using his background in chemical engineering and creative writing, he applies cross-disciplinary analyses in his work, most recently in his role as Senior Researcher in Media, Technology, and Society for the Sustainable Media Lab at Inholland University of Applied Sciences. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science Policy & Governance, where he supports early career researchers writing at the intersection of science, technology, and policy. He is passionate about making digital challenges more tangible for society, and is excited to pursue this goal through the traveling research exhibition, fabricated: Unravel Fact from Fiction in Your Digital World, available here at re:publica.

fabricated is an exhibit of games that help voters build digital literacy and prepare for the 2024 EU elections. This multi-lingual installation uses real-world electoral posts and ads seen in Germany in 2024, and covers topics like content moderation, AI-generated news, and targeted advertising.
