Jade Nester

Jade Nester is TikTok’s Director of Data Public Policy, Europe. She leads a team of European public policy subject matter experts within the European government relations and public policy team. Before joining TikTok, Jade worked as Director, Consumer Policy, at the GSMA. Before joining the private sector, Jade held a number of roles within the U.S. government, including Senior Advisor for Internet Policy at the Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), and Director, Internet Public Policy at the State Department. She has worked on international Internet public policy issues, including privacy, cross-border data flows, and cybersecurity, for over 16 years.

She is an International Association of Privacy Professionals Fellow of Information Privacy and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). She has a Juris Doctor degree from the Catholic University of America.
