Kevin Jablonka earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from TU Munich before pursuing a master's degree and an extended study in applied machine learning at EPFL. Following this, he embarked on a Ph.D. under the guidance of Berend Smit. Currently, Kevin heads a research group at the Helmholtz Institute for Polymers in Energy Applications at the University of Jena and Helmholtz Center Berlin. His research focuses on the digitization of chemistry, where he utilizes computational tools to explore issues ranging from atomic to pilot-plant scales. Kevin is a pioneer in applying large language models to chemistry and co-leads the ChemNLP project.

Foundation Models - Open for science and open to the world

Stefan Kesselheim, Constantin Ulrich, Tassilo Wald, Kevin Jablonka, Florian Grötsch
