Gerda cares about the gender digital divide. She is UNICEF’s Senior Advisor for Gender Equality & Digital Technology and works with girls and partners on digital solutions developed with, for and by women and girls; gender-responsive digital literacy; safeguarding in digital platforms, including in AI powered chatbots; and harnessing digital for the prevention and response to gender-based violence. Gerda is also the initiator and scaling lead of Oky, UNICEF’s Girltech flagship initiative and digital public good.
